Marilyn Monroe and Joe DiMaggio in Miami Beach

December 11, 2008 by Research

This photo was snapped by an amateur photographer on Miami Beach, and if you look close you’ll see that the two people are Marilyn Monroe and Joe DiMaggio. Unfortunately, the poor guy who took this photo didn’t quite get it in focus, which is a shame because he actually captured the famous couple in a relaxed moment that was a very rare occurrence for two people who were constantly in the national spotlight.

There’s no record of when this photo was taken, but our guess is that it was taken in 1954 while Joe and Marilyn were married. Great photo — shame about the focus.
