The next time you have lunch at Cafe Nexxt on Lincoln Road Mall look to the east and you’ll see where the Lincoln Center Hotel was once located. It encompassed the main entrance on Euclid Avenue and the entire hidden courtyard area where many shops and beauty salons are located today.

Here’s how the brochure describes the hotel…
THE LINCOLN CENTER HOTEL, one of the newest, is ideally located in a tropical setting of exotic beauty on fashionable Lincoln Road, the “Fifth Avenue of the South,” amidst smart shops and beautifully landscaped streets, truly in the `center’ of all worth while activities. THE LINCOLN CENTER HOTEL offers a really distinctive address for those who care.
• The Lincoln Road entrance to the Hotel is directly adjacent to the Miami Beach Golf Course and Country Club, and is only a few minutes drive to the Bayshore Golf Club or to the La Gorce Golf Course. These number among the finest courses in the country. The Venetian Causeway, the “Short-way” to Miami is but a few blocks north, enabling guests to drive to Hialeah and Tropical Park Race Tracks, the airports, train terminals, steamship docks and points of interest. Guests of the Hotel have unrestricted auto parking privileges, and there is a large public garage within a block of the Hotel.
• LINCOLN CENTER HOTEL rooms are new and artistically furnished; fireproof and soundproof. The rooms are specially commodious, beautifully appointed and include lighted closets equipped with Louvre doors and Yale locks, Venetian blinds, tropical doors, full length mirrors, ultra modern bathrooms with outlets for electric razors. The Halls are equipped with steam heat for those rare occasions when it is necessary.
• The lobby, sun deck, solarium and other lounging places are comparable only to those found in the finest private clubs.
• The open terrace and landscaped patio with its umbrella-tables and comfortable chairs, provide attractive settings for open air social gatherings or for informal outdoor lounging.
• A beautiful fountain with rainbow colored flood-lights forms the center of our large patio.
• The formal entrance to the Hotel is only four short blocks from the finest bathing beach on the Atlantic seaboard, with an experienced life guard in attendance. There is a separate entrance in the hotel for bathers. A boy will wash your bathing suit in fresh water, dry it and return it to your room without charge.
• A restaurant serving table d’hote and a la carte meals at reasonable prices, excellent cuisine and unsurpassed service is in connection with the Hotel.
• A modern beauty salon has been installed under the direction of a nationally known beautician, for the convenience of our guests.
• When the architects were creating the LINCOLN CENTER they were instructed that comfort and convenience of the guest should be among the outstanding features.
